Where in the world from Phantom by maury Weston

James Myers sings the song, "Where in the World" from the musical, "Phantom" by Maury Yeston.  This is a version of Phantom of the Opera that was written by American composer Maury Yeston rather than British composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber.  In this scene, the Phantom contemplates how and where he will find a new soprano to make beautiful music in the opera house above his lair. 

If I Can't Love Her from Beauty and the Beast

James sings the song, "If I Can't Love Her" from Beauty and the Beast.  James plays the Beast in this production presented by the City of Fairfax Theatre Company.

Who I'd Be from Shrek the musical

Following the success of his performance as the Beast in City of Fairfax Theatre Company's production of Beauty and the Beast, James Myers was invited to sing at the City of Fairfax Theatre Company's Benefit Cabaret Performance a few months later.  James sings the song, "Who I'd Be" from Shrek the Musical.

Molasses to rum from the musical, 1776

James Myers plays South Carolina Senator, Edward Rutledge in 1776.  This scene begins with Rutledge accusing the northern colonies of hypocrisy and complicity in the Triangle Trade.  Scene concludes with the song, "Molasses to Rum"

James sings the song, "How Long Must This Go On?" from the musical Beauty and the Beast. James plays the role of the Beast. In this scene, the Beast contemplates if he will ever be human again.

Beauty and the Beast: Belle's departure, emotional goodbye

James Myers plays the Beast in Beauty and the Beast.  One of the most emotional moments in the show, this video begins right after the conclusion of the title song, "Beauty and the Beast", where the Beast attempts to tell Belle that he loves her. The Beast releases Belle to go to her ailing father. In despair, the Beast sing the reprise of the song, "If I Can't Love Her" once Belle leaves.

Brigadoon Final Scene monologue

James Myers plays the lead role of Tommy Albright in Brigadoon.  In this scene, Tommy has returned to Scotland in hopes of finding his lost true love.  On the discovery that his love now appears to have vanished forever, Tommy breaks down.  

Stars from Les Miserables

James Myers sings the song, "Stars" from the musical Les Miserables.  In this scene, the character Javert contemplates how he will bring the escaped prisoner Valjean to justice.

The Impossible Dream from Man of la mancha

James Myers sings the classic song, "The Impossible Dream" from the musical, Man of La Mancha.

James Myers sings the song, "Empty Chairs At Empty Tables" from the musical Les Miserables. In this scene, the character Marius struggles with his feelings of "survivors guilt".  This was recorded as practice to a pre-recorded audio track. James sings a climatic high G at 1 minute 12 seconds into the video.

My Mother Bore Me from Phantom by Maury Yeston

James Myers sings the song, "My Mother Bore Me" from the musical, Phantom by composer Maury Yeston.  This is not from the Andrew Lloyd Webber version but is a completely different story with the same Phantom character.  In this scene the Phantom begins the song by reciting a poem by William Blake. The Phantom then transitions to singing about his love for Christine who has fled from him in terror after viewing his disfigured face for the first time.

Johanna from Sweeney Todd

James Myers sings the song, "Johanna" from the musical Sweeney Todd by Stephen Sondheim.  In this scene, the character Antony is enraptured by the beauty of his love, Johanna.  

Ten Minutes Ago from cinderella

James Myers sings the song, "Ten Minutes Ago" from the musical Cinderella by Rodgers and Hammerstein.  In this scene the Prince reflects on his love at first sight for Cinderella.
